Privacy Policy

ServoPrice is an independent project — free to use, with no advertising, built and run as a personal hobby. It shows official fuel prices on a map, covering NSW and the ACT. This page explains what information is and isn’t handled when you use it. In short: there is no sign-in, no advertising, and no tracking we add. Location stays on your device.
Information we collect
There are no accounts and no sign-in. We do not ask for, collect, or store your name, email, or other personal details, and we never sell or share data about you. There is no visitor counter and no analytics.
Your location
If you use the “show my location” button, your browser asks for your permission and uses your device’s location only on your device — to show your position on the map, and to rank nearby search results. Your location is never sent to our servers and is not stored or shared.
Cookies and tracking
We set no cookies, and use no advertising or third-party tracking of any kind. The site does store a few small settings in your browser so it remembers your choices — your dark or light theme, fuel and brand filters, and whether you have dismissed the “add to home screen” prompt. These stay on your device and are never sent to us.
Hosting
This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like most hosts, Cloudflare keeps standard technical logs of requests — such as your IP address, the time, the page asked for, and your browser type — so they can serve the site and keep it secure. We do not run a visitor counter, we do not keep our own copy of those logs, and we do not use them to identify you. How Cloudflare handles that data is set out in Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
Fuel and map data
Fuel prices come from NSW FuelCheck (NSW Fair Trading), including the ACT. This project is independent and not affiliated with, or endorsed by, NSW Fair Trading, NSW Government, the ACT Government, Access Canberra, or any fuel retailer.
Third-party services
Map imagery is provided by OpenStreetMap and CARTO; your browser loads map tiles directly from them. If you tap a station address, your device opens Apple Maps, another maps app, or Google Maps so they can show directions to that station. Links to X (Twitter) and Ko-fi lead to third-party sites. These services have their own privacy policies, which we don’t control.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above will change when we do.
Who runs this site
Just one person, working on it in their own time — no company, no sponsor, and no connection to any government agency or fuel retailer.
